Job Description

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, provides application software development services or technical support, typically in a defined project. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications. Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Examines ways to continuously improve processes, architecture, and database designs to improve service.
• Uses knowledge of database design and data extraction to grasp the scope of data availability.
• Generates data output using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and/or Business Intelligence Tools (Domo, Grafana, etc.).
• Ability to listen and understand user data needs and generate dashboards that satisfy those needs for production and support departments.
• Understands Agile Development concepts and is comfortable utilizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment practices. Works closely with database management team and actively participates in team discussions on projects and database improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot and support IoT hardware in the manufacturing environment.
• Work with software users to identify and / or solve issues related to database, data or programming within software environment.
• Communicate / collaborate with support groups (like NAITS) to solve issues related to servers and network connections.

Minimum Qualifications (MUST meet minimum qualifications to be considered)

• Bachelor's degree or enrolled in degree program for computer science or related field or 10+ years experience in manufacturing environment.

Required Knowlege, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills (verbal & written).
• Makes decisions independently and problem-solves based on statistical data.
• Experience utilizing reporting software and/or Business Intelligence Tools.
• Manufacturing Execution Systems experience (3+ years) as an active user.

Preferred Knowlege, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Visual Studio, C#.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript Library/API.

Annual Salary: $73,600-$91,900
