What You Will Contribute:

Badger Meter is hiring a Programmer Analyst at our Global Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. This position is responsible for all technical tasks related to internal business systems, including analysis, system design and coding of new programs and maintenance of existing programs. The position also documents the changes and testing requirements and coordinates user testing. On larger projects, the position is responsible for coordinating resources and overall project management.

Job Duties:

  • Analyze user requests for new programs or changes to existing programs. Design a solution to the request and implement it via developing the necessary code and thoroughly testing it.
  • Answer questions and solve problems from users of the systems that the programmer supports, and resolve issues that occurred during automated nightly processing.
  • Look for issues that could cause problems and resolve them before the problems become visible to the users.
  • Additional projects, tasks, and/or assignments as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related Degree
  • Experience with C# or visual basic required
  • MVC programing experience preferred
  • SQL experience preferred
