Your Role at Baxter

Participate in and supply to all phases of systems development, including specification, programming, maintenance, end-user training, data conversion and testing while achieving the successful development and implementation. Deliver high-quality business systems designs, analysis, programming, and physical data modeling products on schedule, within prescribed resource limits, and in accordance with business requirements and departmental standards. Acquire a fundamental knowledge of the business sector while resolving needs. Focus on system performance, system communications and operational components of the application.

The IT Team for Round Lake Drug Delivery has the responsibility and privilege of supporting the manufacturing process by crafting and supporting tools, infrastructure and technologies. We're a friendly, collaborative group of people who push each other to do better every day. What you'll be doing

Supply to medium size projects, own work you're leading, produce time estimates and detailed specifications, demonstrate increased business knowledge, resolve complex problems. Requires moderate direction, starts to advise others, and possesses validated knowledge of SDLC.

• Develop time estimates for work and prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written by either the incumbent or others
• Develop testing requirements, prepare, and document test data for unit and system testing
• Develop analytical skills to resolve technical problems, identifying root causes for problems and proposing solutions to prevent recurring problems
• Develop solid grasp of the application infrastructure and SDLC
• Plan and lead digital transformation initiatives to accelerate user adoption and improve processes

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer related field
• 3+ years of system experience in developing or supporting applications
• Full Stack Development experience using C#, Python, JavaScript, JQuery, Reporting Services, .NET Core/Framework, web apps or similar tools
• Database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MySql or MongoDB)
• Experience working with source control tools, GitHub
• Technical depth or breadth in one or more systems environments and strategic technologies
• Familiarity with Cloud platform like AWS, Azure and GCP is a plus
• Technical certifications preferred

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $60,000 to $132,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
