Project Accountant - Emerging Technologies

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Project Accountant - Emerging Technologies based at our Americas Headquarters located in Greenville, NC. 

What you will do: 

• Execution of the day-to-day accounting functions for various business models.  

• Identification and resolution of recording issues in our accounting systems. 

• Review customer projects to determine appropriate accounting and record financial entries monthly. 

• Reconcile Finance Department schedules and SAP, investigate differences and initiate corrective actions.  

• Inventory tracking and reporting 

• Provide monthly reports and analysis on project margins, profitability, and working capital, identifying key drivers for any variances. 

• Track project completion dates to determine timing for revenue and margin forecasts. 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline project accounting processes and enhance controls over transactions.

What you will need: 

• Four-year college degree with major in Accounting or Finance. CPA, CMA, MSA or MBA preferred, but not required. 

• Minimum 5 years' relevant accounting and/or finance experience. SAP experience a plus 

Skills, Experience & Abilities  

• 5 years of experience in general ledger and project accounting. 

• Knowledge of accounting standards, principles, and practices. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred.
