The role of the project analyst is to serve various American Express teams. This requires partnering closely with our core internal & external business partners to plan for and drive the change management, delivery, and execution of partner training & communications. Leveraging a variety of channels is essential to ensure that our partner Customer Care Professionals (CCP) are adequately prepared for all Business-Driven Change Initiatives (New Products/Product Refreshes, Capabilities, Servicing Strategies, etc.).
By establishing and leveraging strong working relationships with internal & external business partners, our team is able to influence our business partners to ensure that American Express operational needs are accounted for and that the execution of every initiative is flawless.
  • Provides strong subject matter expertise on products, policies, procedures, and servicing capabilities
  • Develops/crafts effective communications (Policies, procedures etc) that are tailored to programs including customization for Enterprise wide initiatives
  • Supporting American Express lines of business in their ability to drive performance and focus on operations management as well as capability/change management initiatives including onboarding and exiting of partners
  • Attend various intake calls to assess impacts and act as informational conduit of info share to appropriate impacted teams
  • Attends various forums to proactively identify gaps to understand where value can be added, and gaps closed
  • Regularly provide project updates (timelines, milestones, risks, performance metrics) to business stakeholders
  • Proactively look to standardize across programs the creation of content management by incorporating home pages and servicing responsibilities
  • Build & maintains basic reporting tools, leveraging data & analytics in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & SharePoint. Strong presentation skills/knowledge of PPT, Excel & SharePoint preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university preferred or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Prior project experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint and Confluence
  • Strong ability to influence others without direct authority and ability to challenge the status quo appropriately
  • Experience collaborating effectively to drive change.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, with the ability to work independently and prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to leverage a strong Growth Mindset to adapt to change, learn new skill-sets, and grow within role
