PROJECT ASSOCIATE I

The project associate is responsible for ensuring compliance with CMO's utilization management and care management audit requirements established by Health Plan clients, government regulations, and delegation agreements. These audit activities ensure operational adherence to the NYSDOH Article 49 license and CMS Managed Care Requirements. This role is responsible for responding to Health Plan audits and ongoing oversight activities. The Project Associate position actively supports NCQA Accreditation activities and all other obligations that maintain compliance with accreditation requirements, e.g., documentation maintenance and organizing Quality Management Committee meetings. The associate supports the Manager of Operations in the timely renewal of the Utilization Review license authorized by the Department of Finance and NYSDOH. She/He assists in organizing policies/procedures/reports/ deliverables to ensure timely and accurate implementation of all regulatory and government program updates. She/He ensures that the Case Management and Utilization Management departments comply with the latest laws, regulatory and NCQA accreditation guidelines, and delegated agreements for all lines of business.

The ideal candidate is comfortable synthesizing observations of operational patterns and communicating these observations to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of Utilization Management/Care Management, NYSDOH Article 49, and CMS Managed Care Requirements is preferred. The candidate must possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Note. A strong ability to organize, present, and think critically is required for this position. In addition, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills. An ability to relate well to professionals and leaders throughout the organization is a requirement for this position. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Salary Range/Rate: $58,500 - $63,378.32
