WPP are seeking a talented Communications Manager (creative copywriter) to join the Workday Project Communications and Engagement team, reporting to the Project Communication Lead. You must have hands-on experience in writing, designing, creating, delivering, and measuring employee communications campaigns. Your specialist area is writing creative, persuasive, and engaging copy. Preferably you will have some experience in people-led Transformation communications – although this is not a requirement for your application.Â
Executing from an existing communications strategy, you will use your expertise to produce a comprehensive suite of innovative communications that tell our story, create engagement and inspire action. You will collaborate extensively with colleagues in the Workday Communications and Engagement team and actively engage with the wider project team to build highly productive, trusted working relationships.Â
What you'll be doing:
- Design, development, and delivery of comprehensive communications for the project – collaborating with the Communications Lead and Change Managers in your area to ensure the correct tailoring of messagesÂ
- Update the stakeholder messaging framework Â
- Provide copy for audiences at all levels across a variety of mediaÂ
- Work in a structured, methodical way aligned to the communication strategy and communication planÂ
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate risks to deliveryÂ
- Bring innovative, exciting new ideas to our Workday Communications and Engagement team Â
- Find new ways of communicating and engaging with employees now that we among a highly distributed workforceÂ
- Provide advice to change team members on communication messaging and best tactics to achieve outcomesÂ
- Own the deployment of communications through an employee engagement communications platformÂ
- Continuously measure and improve the effectiveness of our communications Â
What you'll need:
- A combination of education, training, and/or experience in internal or employee communicationsÂ
- The talent and skills to deliver world-class written content Â
- The emotional intelligence to understand and respond to specific audience needsÂ
- An eye for creative design aestheticÂ
- Experience in using employee communications content or messaging platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, Yammer, Poppulo, or similarÂ
- Experience in creating short videos using iMovie or similarÂ
- The resilience to work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team in complex environments that can be uncertain and ambiguousÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindsetÂ
- Astute and perceptive, able to spot and escalate risks Â
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about change programme communications methodologies and good practicesÂ
