About the Job

The Assay Development team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our dynamic project management team. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the project management team and facilitating the seamless execution of projects in various stages of the product development lifecycle, including feasibility, development, and validation. This role requires a working understanding of project management principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management Support:
    • Assist project managers in planning, tracking, and executing projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
    • Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Provide administrative support for project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and documentation.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Serve as a liaison between the Assay Development team and various departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
    • Facilitate regular meetings, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed and aligned on project goals and timelines.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.
    • Generate and distribute regular progress reports to project stakeholders and leadership.
  • Resource Coordination:
    • Collaborate with department heads to allocate resources efficiently and ensure that project teams have the necessary support.
    • Track and manage project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage administrative tasks such as travel arrangements, expense reporting, and procurement of project-related materials.
    • Assist in facilitating events, workshops, and training sessions as needed.
    • Provide extensive calendar management, coordinate internal and external meetings, arrange virtual meetings, and manage travel of Assay Development leadership team.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business-related field and 2 years of related work experience; OR
  • 5 years of professional work experience in Project Coordination or Project Administrative support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong preference for education or background in biotech or research setting. Familiarity with the product development lifecycle in a biotech or pharmaceutical context is a plus.
  • Proven experience in project coordination or administrative support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and summarize key takeaways, action items, and decisions from technical discussions.
  • Expertise in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; expertise in one or more Project Management software/tools such as Smartsheet, Office Timeline or JIRA.
