We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Project Coordinator (Digital Content) on our XXXX team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
Join the JAMA team as a Project Coordinator (Digital Content). You will support publication and maintenance of onlinetext, visual, and multimedia content for the JAMA Network. Ensure materialsconform to the JAMA Network's technical and formatting standards and that allmaterials are in the JAMA Production System (JPS) and other systems as requiredto meet deadlines. Support special projects and other assignments as requested,including editorial assistance for assigned sections and process improvementinitiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce and maintain digital content for onlinepublication by the JAMA Network
- Support production of text, visual, and multimedia materials including publishing, text editing, project support, social media, presentations, correspondence, agendas, and handouts
- Organize and maintain files for reference information
- Track JAMA Network Digital Content deliverables to ensure completion within schedules and deadlines, confirming timelines and assignments with colleagues across the JAMA Network as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of processes, systems (including use of JPS), and communications across the area
- Provide editorial support for assigned sections, adhering to JAMA Network policies for formatting and permissions
Support Digital Content operations and otheradministrative processes across JAMA
- Support special projects assigned to the office, including tracking timelines for the team's deliverables
- Provide administrative support to leadership as directed and within AMA procedures, including scheduling, meetings, travel, and expense reporting
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years team-based administrative work experience required
- Proficiency with PC or MAC technology platforms, collaboration tools, databases, and video conferencing tools, Zencastr, Squadcast, Riverside, highly desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, , PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook) required
- Experience with Photoshop and other Adobe tools; publishing tools, eg, Silverchair; code editing, eg, Sublime; project management tools, eg, Trello; content management systems, eg, eJournal Press; editorial processing software, eg, eXtyles; and social media software, eg Sprinkler, a plus
- Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt effectively to different management styles and fluid circumstances required
- Strong sense of confidentiality and demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and make sound judgments based on knowledge and experience required; proven ability to balance persistence and diplomatic influence on the actions of others required
- Demonstrated self-starter with good interpersonal and organizational skills required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and attention to detail, required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting as well as independently required
