Project Development Analyst
Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Development Analyst will support development activities of solar and storage projects of up to 20 MWac at all stages of project maturity across the United States. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, supporting members of the team with project or portfolio-level development tasks including maintenance of project schedules, ensuring the smooth flow of information among internal and external cross-functional teams (business development, mergers & acquisition, finance, engineering, construction, legal), development risk analysis, budget and project tracking, and both ad hoc and longer term research tasks.
Main Accountabilities:
- Create and/or manage internal tools for tracking efforts to develop projects and for coordinating internal resources and priorities
- Support internal reporting and project tracking efforts for project schedules and budgets by assiduously maintaining EDPR DG's project management database.
- Assist with development efforts such as land agreements processing, permit preparation, and coordinating the activities of third-party consultants
- Evaluate permitting risks based on available desktop tools (GIS, etc.) and reports generated by third-party consultants

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in energy, project management, or a related industry
- Ability to decipher, summarize and communicate key findings of technical reports
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software critical; fluency with other software platforms a plus
- Strong problem solving and communication skills (both written and oral) a must

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
