Project Engineer 1

Works independently under close supervision, responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project. Plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. Formulate project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team. Create frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.

Description
NuSil Technology LLC, a provider of silicone materials to the medical, aerospace & defense, and other industries, is in need of a Project Engineer to be primarily located in Irving, Texas. This is an experienced, full-time, direct-hire position. Under minimal supervision, the Project Engineer will be responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and completion of capital projects from $3,000 upwards. Non-capital projects (design, development, improvement, etc.) and other related work will be assigned as well. The Project Engineer will work directly with contractors, as well as subject matter experts within the company to complete projects from start to finish. It will be the responsibility of the project engineer to effectively communicate and maintain all project information. 

The Project Manager will own project assignments from concept to closure. This will include preparatory documentation, stakeholder engagement, Scope of Work creation, cost estimation, schedule creation, solicitation of funding approvals, procurement activities, construction management, equipment qualification and validation activities, all in a ISO9000, FDA, AS9100, cGMP, ITAR environment. Other activities may be required or assigned depending on the specific project needs.  Non-project-related work may include departmental documentation, participation in various initiatives as a team member or Subject Matter Expert, or collaboration with other departments and sites.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-3 Years of Project Management experience working on design and build projects. 
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited University 
• Experience with 3D CAD software preferably solid works as well as experience with 2D CAD software such as Auto CAD or a similar software.
• Technical Writing skills as well as effective communication skills. 
• Self-motivated and the ability to work on various multi-disciplinary projects simultaneously. 
• Occasional Travel to other Nusil Sites. (Project dependent)

Desired Skills: 

Microsoft Projects or other similar software to create and maintain project timelines. 

PMP Certification, preferred. 

Experience in a cGMP Manufacturing Environment

Familiarity with relevant industry standards; ASME BPVC/B31.3, ISA 84, TEMA, NFPA 70/70E, etc.

Familiarity with PSM Requirements 

Ability to interpret data for ROI Calculations
