Job Description
- Participate in interdepartmental meetings to schedule software deliveries, negotiating delivery dates based on resource availability.
- Define and document required work scope including quotations, purchase orders and change orders as required.
- Generate and manage software project delivery schedules using JIRA.
- Monitor software project status and ensure software is delivered per the defined process.
- Audit, analyze, improve, and document the department's process for software version releases, and provide training and feedback to software engineers as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in engineering, project management, sales, and other departments to understand project requirements and manage risk.
- Perform other work-related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 0 - 2 years of professional experience in project management.
- This is an onsite position located in Houston, TX.
- Proficiency in JIRA
- Familiar with Primavera P6 is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, versatile, and work well as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team.
