Key Point to Note for the role offered / Kind Attention :

• Project Engineer position will be initially based in India on Evonik India Payroll for 12 to 18 months tenure considering the eligibility process required to get eligible for Work Visa in US.

• After successful Visa application / eligibility to work in US, individual will be transferred to Evonik Corporation based in USA on their payroll ( US Salary & benefits applicable)

• Individual will need to relocate to the Site location in USA once the Visa process is completed and exit from Evonik India employment.

Purpose of the Position :

• Proper setup, management and realization of chemical plant construction projects with a large investment volume and/or medium level of complexity.

• Planning and formulation of individual process engineering master plans according to requirements, as well as the construction and commissioning of chemical plants and plant units at home and abroad for the Evonik Group while ensuring minimal production costs, optimal efficiency, attention to safety, environmental protection and compliance with deadlines and cost specifications set by the Executive Board and Supervisory Board.

• Independent development of project-specific approaches for achieving technical goals in relation to resources, results and ESH.

Key Responsibilities :

• Hold overall responsibility for designing, developing and delivering the organization's project management strategy. Personally leading one or more projects of strategic importance.

• Situational analysis, creation and clarification of technical design in cooperation with the customer while ensuring minimal production costs. Plan and itemize the prescribed process steps.

• Contribute project and process knowledge as well as specific plant engineering know-how, specialist knowledge of individual technical disciplines and/or hold organizational project experience in plant construction.

• Integration and coordination of allocated projects in terms of target setting and priorities.

• Establishment and management of the project organization for a clear division of tasks and responsibilities in the project team for various project phases.

• Act as contact partner and consultant for the customer for the projects under your responsibility.

• Interdisciplinary collaboration with all internal as well as external departments to do with planning and implementation.

• Task-related deployment and integration of employees in the project organization.

• Lead and motivate interdisciplinary project teams made up of internal and external engineers

Education & Experience required :

• Bachelor or Masters in Chemical / Mechanical with minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in handling project activities for Chemical / Pharma or Lifescience.
