Our client, in consumer packaged goods manufacturing industry is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have engineering principles, project management and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Engineer 

Location: Jefferson City, MO

Contract: 1 year (extension possible)

Pay Range: $35 - $42 hourly (W2 only, no C2C)

• Manage and support end-to-end delivery of the transformational capital projects for the Company Personal Care Liquids Factory at site in Jefferson City
• Organize and detail oriented to deliver capital projects at site fully securing safety, product quality, project timing, and cost. (This role will be supported by full-time and hired contractors/Construction Management firms to execute the projects).
• Takes a leadership role over the portfolio of transformational projects, coordination with site operations, and acts as the project representative to external teams (R&D, brand, procurement, suppliers, etc.).
• Have a strong fundamental understanding of engineering principles and have a "hands-on" approach to plant and scale-up activities.
• Responsible for executing multiple transformation projects at site by coordinating with respective construction management firms, critiquing designs, managing construction as per UL safety standards, installation, commissioning, and handover

What’s Needed?

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• 3+ Years of Engineering in FMCG / foods / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Project Management, maintenance, and/or continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• First-hand experience delivering major capital projects ($5-10million) in fast-moving consumer goods or foods manufacturing environment from cradle to grave.
• Experience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), Lean manufacturing, and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a plus.
