Project Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently manages evaluation and testing of Components of Household and Commercial end use applications.
• Determines project scope, requirements including clients' needs, test methods, costs etc., and develops a preliminary plan for the certification process.
• Examines technical documents, samples and construction of the products.
• Conducts or witnesses' tests at client sites or third party laboratories.
• Prepares datasheets and analyzes test data.
• Evaluates test results and creates test reports/Certification documents.
• Communicates technical issues, UL procedures, project duration, required samples etc. with clients.
• Keeps clients updated on any issues or concerns that might impact or change the project scope or specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University Degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics, Energy or Industrial Automation Engineering) or equivalent work experience
• Direct/Indirect knowledge of product testing, verification and validation, and ability to read schematics - ideally knowledge of conformity/safety standards (training will be provided).
• Experience and knowledge of Motor/Components testing/certification would be a plus.
• Strong command of Italian and fluent English level is a must.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze special testing needs.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
