ENGINEERING:

• Ability to ask questions
• Self-motivated with the ability to originate and adapt to new ideas
• Cursory knowledge in the basics of seismic design
• Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD and Solidworks design programs
• Proficient in latest version of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Broad product/application/industry knowledge base
  • Process system design and fabrication
  • Basic Pump Hydraulics
  • Compression and vacuum applications with various gases
  • Pneumatic Conveying systems
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of pump, compressor, vacuum pump types
  • Ability to integrate various pieces of equipment into a homogeneous system
  • Familiarity with a variety of piping and piping design
  • Control and Instrumentation Systems

GENERAL SKILLS:

• Ability to work without supervision but ask questions when necessary
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Understanding of Gant Chart work process
• Ability to communicate accurately and effectively, good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously
• Ability to effectively interface with other individuals or groups, sales, shop technicians, construction personnel, vendors
• Ability to complete package design and fabrication on time and on budget
• Ability to seek out company and customer's needs and prioritize own work accordingly
• Able to balance engineering tasks with the commercial/business objectives of the Company
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of Project cost and schedule management

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

• A degree in Engineering, five (5-10) years of system design and integration experience.
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written) are required to effectively interact with customer and support staffs within the company.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical skills, and engineering technical skills are important, as well as independent decision making in an environment where a sense of urgency in terms of maximizing profit and minimizing lost is present.
• Able and willing to travel for field work and/or construction crew supervision.
• Project Management skills:
  • Project Cost accounting and budget management
  • Scheduling and expediting of vendors and sub-contractors

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Prolonged periods of walking or standing at a jobsite
• Must be able to frequently lift up-to 10 pounds at a time
