Project Engineer I - Agile Space
As a Project Engineer I you will perform the duties of an Execution Lead reporting to the Operations and Execution Manager of Agile Space. The space industry is pivoting to a hybrid solution that complements traditional space offerings with non-traditional space offerings. Non-traditional offerings are significantly lower cost, much shorter schedule, multiple build space vehicles, and reduced amount of contractually flowed rigor. The Agile Space effort is Ball's response to enable us to work in non-traditional space. As a member of the Agile Space team, you'll have a great deal of responsibility and opportunity to influence the success of non-traditional space-based programs at Ball. This position will be responsible for developing and/or executing Agile Space processes and tools.
What You'll Do:

• Develop end to end processes and tools that will enable execution at much lower price points and shorter schedules non-traditional space-based programs.
• Maintain a trusted partnership with internal customers.
• Exert influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals.
• Execution lead on a program(s) within Agile Space
• Present at small and large meeting and reviews.
• Communicate and effluence across Ball leadership.
• Lead with humility and technical abilities.
• Develop and maintain a fun and fulfilling environment for the team.
• Generate detailed development schedules and manage team activities to meet delivery milestones.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

What You'll Need:

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Competence at the highest levels in one or more technical fields.
• Strong understanding of the Ball processes and tools that are used to execute a traditional space-based program, understanding what works well for a non-traditional programs and what does not work well for a non-traditional program
• Competency at leading a small team to deliver a defined and agreed upon scope of work that meets requirements and cost/schedule commitments.
• Cost Account Management knowledge.
• Effective communication skills and ability to prepare and give presentations to team and large groups.

Full-Time On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site full-time. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Verification that your current security clearance or government customer access meets the requirement for this position will be required.
Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $123,500 - $156,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
