Project Engineer I - Technical Deployment Lead - Product Lifecycle Management Platform Implementation
Fusion, built on Dassault Systรจmes 3DExperience platform and configured for Ball Aerospace, is the next generation product lifecycle management foundation that will provide an authoritative source of truth to meet current and future market demands. Ball team members will log into the system and work directly within the platform to access applications, capabilities, and data, thereby reducing manual, multi-application inefficiencies. This platform will lay the foundation for future digital capabilities and will grow as the team integrates additional applications and capabilities into the platform. Overall, it will improve our program execution, increase efficiency, reduce risk, improve searchability and bring new capabilities to Ball Aerospace.
What You'll Do:
- Define the work plan, schedule, and required personnel for the production deployments.
- Own and manage the overall deployment strategy for onboarding existing programs
- Work closely with Program Management to determine program deployment plans and execute on successful implementation on each relevant program.
- Communicate release dates to relevant stakeholders, establishes release readiness from business and IT Delivery.
- Manage the entire cutover process planning, coordinate cutover to production execution, lead communication throughout this process, and ensure technical support mechanisms are in place.
- Partner with Data Management to perform analysis of Agile data to confirm the best deployment approach and data migration strategy for programs.
- Work with the project architects to define deployment requirements, go/no-go artifacts and decisions, ensure platform capabilities meet the program needs, and manage the following documents and artifacts:
- Deployment Plan
- Contingency/Sustainability Plan
- Go-Live Plan
- Hypercare Plan & Contact Sheet
- Handover Documents
- Technology Policies and Procedures
- Go/No-Go Checklist
- Readiness Scorecard
- Coordinate cross release, cross workstream ownership of deployment issues and interdependencies.
- Coordinate with the OCM team for awareness of organizational readiness and training delivery to sponsor commitment for deployment with programs.
- Partner with Solution Design to lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure it has been conducted and accepted.
- Promote development of a strong team by participation in key aspects of the project and mentoring more junior team members. When delegating, establish clear expectations by providing well-defined tasks with clear entrance/exit criteria, due dates, and associated budgets.
- Identify, track, and address risks and opportunities.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need:
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

- Familiarity with software development lifecycle, product development lifecycle, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools are a plus.
- ITS technical skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with the Aerospace and Defense industry, and associated program execution processes, is a plus.
- Prior experience implementing an enterprise software system (specifically a PLM system) is a plus.
Full-Time On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site full-time. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
A current DoD clearance and/or SCI access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position, however applicant must be willing and eligible for submission within 60-90 days after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access. Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $121,500 - $153,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
