Job Description:

Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is looking for dedicated individual to become part of our Project Discipline organization. HSE is looking for a highly motivated Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to support Operational Commercial Engines (OCE). IPT's are tasked with sustaining fielded engines through product deficiency investigations and product enhancements, and resolve manufacturing and overhaul issues in support of spares part deliveries and fleet sustainment. The OCE team supports the PW2000/F117, PW4000, V2500, GP7000, JT8D, JT9D engines, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide project management to an integrated product team made up of design, structural and durability engineers.
• Work with the team to meet task requirements including technical, quality, schedule, and cost targets that have been agreed upon with the customer.
• Work with the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) to plan, acquire, and manage appropriate budgets for specific IPT tasks.
• Have the communication skills, team leadership skills, and the ability to operate across a wide range of disciplines and management levels with both internal and external customers to ensure that task requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or in a related field and 5 + years of relevant engineering experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and 3+ years relevant engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, budgets, and schedules.
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
• Travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hot section gas turbine component and/or module level experience
• Knowledge of Project Management toolsets (MS Project, Risk based decision making, proposal generation, task baselining, etc).
• A passion for learning about and pursuing a career in aviation and aerospace.
• Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in responding to new business challenges.
• Eager to learn new things, contribute a fresh perspective, and share your knowledge with others.
