Entry to Mid-level Leadership Position: The Project Engineer (PE) is a newly created position within our "Action Officer" team with the specific focus of "gap-filling" operational requirements in a fast-paced, high growth operation. You will combine experience and/or educational disciplines to learn the business, industry and operation in a hands-on practical approach while utilizing current skill sets to problem solve and present continuous improvement strategies AND manage tactical projects that positively impact the bottom-line P L. You will engage with all levels of internal and external customers at a high level and as a key stakeholder in decision-making, project execution and performance satisfaction. You will have an immediate impact on the operation with working knowledge and/or experience in the following disciplines.

• Procurement: The ability to manage vendor expectations, coordinate purchasing efforts and execute on cost reduction strategies.
• Engineering (mechanical/electrical): Working knowledge in AUTOCAD and MHE warehouse experience preferred. Ability to analyze drawings and coordinate SOW expectations with vendor partners.
• Data Analytics: Working knowledge in providing quantifiable data and analytics to support key decisions throughout the life cycle process.
• Project Management: Working knowledge in MHE, warehouse, systems or construction, managing mid-level projects to final execution. Typical projects are between 2-6 weeks duration with an average budget of $2M.
• General Operations: Working knowledge as an operations manager or associate with a focus in analytics and customer service.
• Content Development: Working knowledge in defining and building content in LMS and document formats. The ability to perform discovery work and develop a plan of execution through final deployment.

Preferred Experience in one or more of the following:

• Experience or practical education in one or more of the following disciplines: Procurement; Engineering (mechanical/electrical); AutoCAD; Data Analytics; Project Management; Sales and Account Management; LMS Content Development; Contracts and Pricing; Accounts Receivable/Payable/Invoicing; and/or Construction and Permitting.
• Understanding of the dynamic handling characteristics, constraints and risks associated with the wide range of materials handled within a complex material handling system.
• Knowledge of the constraints and methods for defining and demonstrating equipment, subsystem, and system performance criteria.
• Understanding and knowledge of various controls architectures, related controls levels, and the functionality of controls domains, inclusive of WMS and WCS integration.
• Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities and impacts of project execution when interfacing with General Contractors, Construction Managers or owners.
• Knowledge and ability to identify and develop the proper team skills required for the successful implementation of the various products and subsystems employed in complex systems inclusive of mechanical, controls, software, and installation.
• Ability to develop detailed project schedules inclusive of all in-scope engineering, installation, and integration schedule activities as well as explicit and implicate out-of-scope milestones by others (i.e. owners and general contractors) impacting project execution, using MS Project .
• Ability to develop, define, and execute acceptance test plans inclusive of physical, function, rate and availability testing
• Knowledge of 3rd party procurement including development of RFPs/RFQs, bid review and assessment, and contract award in cooperation with purchasing resources.
• Ability to coordinate the execution of activities by internal resources as well as contractor resources and recognize early and proactively issues that require corrective action and impact on timely execution.
• Experience with the coordination of on-site activities involving many (sub) contractors vying for the same space and time windows. Interface with local code requirements including, seismic, fire, and ADA.
• Excel, including pivot table experience.

EDUCATION and/or Experience
College degree from a four-year school, or equivalent experience.
