Job Description

Overview: Provides engineering, equipment reliability and project management support to all departments within Archrock and our customers. Ensures that projects are completed on time and according to project plans in compliance with codes, standards, and budget.

Essential Duties:

- Provide engineering support for Make Ready Shops, Applications Engineering, Field Operations, Construction, Sales, Supply Chain and Customers as required.

- Provide engineering support for upgrades and modifications for instrumentation and control systems for Fleet equipment including control systems.

- Provide engineering support and project management for assigned equipment reliability initiatives in an effort to reduce costs.

- Provide review of and assist with development and updates to Archrock engineering standards, procedures and guidelines.

- Prepare project cost estimates.

- Analyze customer specifications, operational requirements, task statements, standards, and other documentation to determine engineering requirements relative to the establishment or functioning of complete systems.

- Execute assigned projects through completion with minimal supervision.

- Provide design and review engineering of work service platforms to assure they provide safe work areas.

- Provide markups and verifications of equipment drawings.

- Develop specifications and source suppliers for materials and components required for Fleet equipment.

- Prepare documentation required for third (3rd) party pulsation and torsional analysis studies and provide design engineering for pressure vessels resulting from pulsation studies.

- Develop and prepare of Cause and Effect charts.

- Review and ensure compliance to OSHA, ASME, API, NEC, OEM, BSEE, EPA and other industry regulations, codes and standards.

- Perform engineering calculations to size pressure vessels, piping, isolation, relief and control valves; relief valve vent systems; auxiliary systems; and exhaust systems to assure compliance with Company and Industry standards and/or specifications.

- Train and mentor other engineers.

Non Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency with:

- Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Project, Codeware Compress, and iPRSM and compressor performance calculations.

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of P&ID, Utility Flow Diagrams, GA, FP and other drawings.

- Some knowledge of Archrock or similar company HSE and OSHA standards.

- Familiarity with AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Minimum Education and Certification:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience:

- Typically at least 5 years relevant experience.

Leadership:

- Expected to serve as a resource to others for knowledge transfer, training and checking work.

- May occasionally lead a team.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, and bend with good balance, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

- Regularly required to sit, perform repetitive duties, and use a PC and to talk and hear.

- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

- Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 10 pounds.
