About the Role 

JustAnswer is looking for a proficient project lead to lead chatbots development. Our chatbots are one of the key enablers for the JustAnswer services.  You will have the opportunity to lead teams that build, measure, learn and iteratively develop and scale our chat infrastructure which is one of the best existing multiple volley systems over a range of topics.  

This role in our platform team involves working with a distributed team of engineers, architects, product managers and other stake holders to plan and develop features critical to our services. We value lean, data driven and collaborative approach to software development. This is a great opportunity for the right project lead to take responsible ownership and set bold directions for the team and develop further. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Responsible for the overall successful delivery of the Software Project 
  • Making sure business needs are understood by the team 
  • Responsible for cross team/cross department communication 
  • Making sure business goals, priorities and OKRs are understood by each individual 
  • Responsible for planning the scope of work 
  • Working closely with engineering, product, analysts, and story owners to design features, negotiate scope and prioritize tasks 
  • Responsible for early warnings in case of schedule delay 
  • Ensuring that all software development practices are applied 
  • Supporting teams by answering project scope related questions and solving problems 
  • Driving improvements in development processes 

What We’re Looking for 

  • 3+ years of experience in software project management, including daily interactions with software engineers, product owners or other IT personnel 
  • 5+ years of software development experience  
  • Experience in web development preferred 
  • Experience in managing several software development projects 
  • Experience in Agile software development processes 
  • Experience writing specifications and user stories 
  • Understanding of IT technologies and platforms, the product development lifecycle, software development methodologies, and practical knowledge of application development processes 
  • Experience working with projects having short development integrations and organizing Agile process with constantly changing requirements. Using lean approach. Building MVPs. For example, startups or projects that evolve quickly. 
  • Experience in direct communication with English-speaking customers 
  • Good communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Upper intermediate+ written and spoken communication in English 
  • Ability to multitask and get things done
