Job Purpose:

• This is a Vice President role within the ICG Markets Tech team. You will be the Lead Project Engineer responsible for the leadership and management of a diverse set of talent comprising of 20+ team members globally.
• This is a highly visible role for a key initiative wherein the you would get opportunity to work on multiple asset classes and business functions, interact with many teams and stakeholders at senior level

• You will be leading the development, and delivery of our central data processing platform to house critical transactional data from multiple business processes and asset classes. This is a critical firm wide initiative.
• You will also get the opportunity to liaise between key technology and business partners across Markets Operations and Tech, and also liaise with the Citi Technology Teams which would include several SaaS offerings and Hardware teams and also interact with the Technology Experts of different Product Vendors.

Role Description:

Markets Operations Technology team is looking for a Lead Project Engineer with significant experience is developing High Volume Distributed Realtime Event Processing platforms. Person in this role will lead the development, and delivery of central data processing platform to house critical transactional data from multiple business processes and asset classes and make the data available over Enterprise Search Engines.

This is a Project Lead Engineer level position responsible for overall delivery of a critical firm wide initiative. Person should be experienced in design and developing world class software using Microservices architecture, Realtime processing and Bigdata technologies. Should have relevant Hands-on experience in implementing Microservices using Spring Boot, Big data platform based on Hadoop ecosystem including HDFS operations, HIVE and NoSQL data stores particularly Key-Value pair. Hands on experience with Oracle, REST Services, Apache Spark and/or Kafka.

Role Expectation:

Person in this role will be required to lead interactions with the Business Analysts and various stream leads to develop the strategic implementation plan to acquire critical data points. This role will also liaise between key technology and business partners across Markets Operations and Tech, and also liaise with the Citi Technology Teams which would include several SaaS offerings and Hardware teams and also interact with the Technology Experts of different Product Vendors (like Elasticsearch and Confluent). Finally, the person would be expected to guide the team so that the highest coding standards are followed and the platform is compliant with every CITI enforced Compliance checkpoints.

The individual will be responsible for the leadership and management of a diverse set of talent comprising of 20+ team members globally. Responsibilities:

• Complete Ownership & Responsibility for end-to-end business solution for our Realtime High Volume Event Processing Platform.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to drive execution and delivery
• Lead a culture of innovation & experimentation, support full software lifecycle that incorporates the best of technology approaches & delivery methodologies
• Manage team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team
• Actively participate in brainstorming session and provide solid inputs to the team and ensure best practices are followed within the team.
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Validate detailed requirements, working through solutions and managing execution and rollout of the platform. Responsible for the application meeting project specifications and client's expectations
• Influence technical architecture and negotiate/communicate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

Lead the development and Enrichment of the Realtime processing platform:

• Lead a team of 20+ Developers, Testers and DevOps Team to deliver distributed real time solution
• Provide though leadership on how to grow the platform.
• Ability to take quick and correct decisions during tough Production outage situations and guide the team accordingly.
• Own up to the responsibility of the platform and drive it with pride.
• Hands-on Development opportunity across the latest niche technologies like ELK, Kafka, Mongo
• Continuous Collaboration and co-ordination with teams spread across geography.

Architecture & Design, by:

• Participating in Architecture and Design discussions and processes with the Technology stakeholders
• Learning from the CITI Architects and Designer
• Participate in the Design thought process.

Infrastructure exposure:

• Working very closely with our Devops Team on the Infrastructure Setup and enhancement for both new and existing software and platforms.
• Opportunity to learn ad work on leading DevOps tools - ITRS, AppDynamics, uDeploy

Code Quality, Coverage, Governance, Build & Deployment:

• Ensure Code quality and proper coverage is maintained, using tools like Secure Assist, Sonar etc.
• Ensure proper code governance using GIT/Bitbucket
• CICD using Teamcity, Openshift, Docker, Websphere

Qualification and Skills:

• Experienced in driving software delivery and transformation through Agile practices and processes, with a focus of establishing Continuous Delivery culture and process
• 10+ years of working as a Hands On technical leader working on complex Realtime, Distributed, High Volume, Event Processing systems in a large organization, structuring, establishing, and leading multiple product-centric development teams
• Exceptional communicator who loves working with people, confident communicating at all levels from an individual team to the entire enterprise
• Experience in enterprise Java Applications, Spring Boot and Spring JMS is must.
• Experience working in at least one messaging/event processing system like Tibco EMS, Kafka etc.
• Experience working in Oracle and Schema less Databases.
• Experience in Big Data systems like Hadoop/Hive
• Experience working with Elasticsearch/ELK stack.

Education:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
