Are you known for your attention to detail, superb documentation skills, and enjoy collaborating with engineers? This may be the position for you! As a Program Management Coordinator III, you should have excellent time management and communication skills as you will collaborate with vendors, suppliers, other stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Your main responsibilities will be to coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information, break projects into actionable tasks and set timeframes, liaise with stakeholders to facilitate project execution and assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management. You'll also ensure that clients' needs are met as projects evolve, help prepare budgets, analyze risks and opportunities, monitor project progress and address issues that arise via proper communication and escalation. Additionally, you will act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders, work with the Program Manager to remove road blocks, use tools to monitor and control performance, plans and expenditures and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and status reports.

Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.
Become part of our team developing the first independent commercial space station. This space station is based on our expandable LIFETM habitat, serviced by Dream Chaserยฎ spaceplane, and will provide the facilities and services for commercial research, manufacturing, and tourism.
As a Project Management Coordinator III, you will be using your skills and expertise to prepare and coordinate the plans and schedules for our new or existing programs. You'll be responsible for determining, monitoring, and reviewing our costs, operational budgets and schedules, manpower requirements, and supporting and participating in negotiations with our customers. You'll implement program modifications that result in improved productivity or reduced costs. You will be key in supporting the program leadership team and will be instrumental in maintaining a constant drumbeat of communication across the organization.
Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree with typically 6+ years of experience in a professional environment; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education; higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
  • Experience determining, monitoring, and reviewing cost, program budgets and manpower requirements.
  • Experience developing and managing program schedules using tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheets or other professional scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work in support of program managers for each assigned project, to develop and maintain project plans in accordance with standards and processes.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, strong attention to detail, and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Solid management skills, exceptional reporting, and presentation skills; comfortable with relevant computer programs such as MS Office and the Atlassian family of tools.
  • Highly collaborative and proactive with a strategic mindset.
  • Comfortable with determining a course of action with limited guidance and supervision - has a knack for seeing where they can help and comfortable bringing solutions that help improve efficiency and effectiveness in program execution.

Preferred:
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Background in the Aerospace Industry.
  • Background in firm fixed price and/or commercial environments.
  • Prior experience as a Program Coordinator, Scheduler or Finacial Analyst.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $91,154.71 - $125,337.72
