Summary/Overview:
KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC), is seeking a Business Analyst with prior work experience in project management to join our growing Corporate Credit Assessment Group. Attention to detail, a passion for managing process, excellent communication skills and knowledge of financial accounting are some of the keys for success. This candidate will take ownership of the project management process to onboard, prioritize and track workflow across corporate assessment engagements. He/she will develop reports to present status at cross-functional team meetings and communicate externally with clients to ensure all requests and updates are properly communicated.
The Corporate Credit Assessment Group at KBRA is one of the firm’s most dynamic and rapidly growing teams. The Group provides credit analytics that directly contribute to credit ratings issued across KBRA asset classes including Structured Credit, Asset-Backed Securities, Project Finance, and Funds, among others. Position is located in our New York City office.

Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the existing project management process to onboard and prioritize new engagements, assign assessment responsibilities across Team members, track work- flow, identify and mitigate emerging risks and communicate performance relative to deadlines.
- Develop a reporting framework to communicate project activities and updates with the respective KBRA stakeholders.
- Provide detailed updates on project status and address any inquiries and concerns at weekly meetings attended by Senior Managers across various KBRA teams.
- Manage client communication to ensure materials required for assessment are provided in a timely manner and to inform them of latest assessments that impact their portfolios.
- Manage client communication to ensure all requests and updates are properly communicated with external contacts.
- Collaborate with Team members to synchronize workflow tracking across KBRA systems including JIRA and other internal dashboards.
- Develop a deep understanding of KBRA’s methodologies and contribute to the assessment process as a corporate analyst.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and develop project plans and timelines.
Key Job Qualifications:
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of previous experience in project management within financial services that include: Banks, Asset Management, Advisory firms or Rating agencies.
- Keen interest in project management and credit analysis and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address emerging issues.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are essential.
- Attention to detail and proven ability to work in a high-paced environment is critical.
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline like Economics and Business Administration.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Ability to navigate and organize complex workflow structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools
- Familiarity with accounting and financial statement analysis
- Prior experience or coursework in financial accounting and project management.
- Knowledge and/or the ability to code in SQL or Python is most helpful.
Salary Range:
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is [$80,000 to $90,000]. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
