Job Description

As our Senior Project Management for Technical Performance, you can work a hybrid schedule from our Houston, TX office. You will manage projects and be the technical liaison for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating standalone battery assets in Texas and California. In this position you will work across departments, site teams, and Original Equipment Manufactures "OEMs" on projects, problems, and upgrades exclusively to BESS projects.

Every day you will be responsible for managing large scale site improvements, retrofits, and repairs for the battery storage facilities in Texas and California. You will do this by monitoring over-all performance of the battery storage operating fleet and disseminate required actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide and report implementation schedules on various operations improvements. Identify issues from field inspections and data analysis. Develop solutions, retrofits, and upgrades to address issues.

  • Manage projects in a manner that assures safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting the project goals and communicate with Management on goals and objectives
  • Coordinate labor, tooling, and parts between engineering, OEMs, third parties and internal field staff. Track and maintain spare parts inventories
  • Manage site testing and data collection tasks. Interpret results and provide recommendations
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Assist and oversee late-stage commissioning project handover to ensure adequate technical QA/QC prior to site turnover to operations
  • Analyzing datasets and creating reports using Excel, SQL, and Matlab
  • Travel to Texas and California sites. Baseline of travel will be 20%, during the six (6) month onboarding/training period travel can be as high as 50% and will level out to 20%
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of employees, company assets, and the general public

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, math, or equivalent degree experience in which you have learned project management, planning, and technical acumen
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience required from the energy, power, industrial, or renewables sector and three (3) years experience leading projects in engineering, energy, or industrial project management or operations
  • Project Management certification is a plus
  • Data analysis skills to create reports required in Excel, SQL, and Matlab
  • Be an action-oriented, self-motivator individual who can lead a team, work independently, and has strong organizational and personal skills
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient in MS OFFICE, WORD, and Project Management systems

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • This role requires travel to client site(s) domestically up to 50% during the initial training/onboarding time and will level off to 20% after the six (6) month training period has completed, with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record for travel related purpose to sites for auto rentals or if using personal vehicle to travel to project site(s)
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • The position consists of 20% work indoors and 80% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
  • Could involve some lifting / up to 30 lbs

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100.00 - $147,660.00 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
