bout The Position
The Project Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring Power Operation Services' (POS) compliance with the Project Controls audit process by partnering with POS staff to meet the requirements of the Corporate Project Oversight Committee (CPOC), the Senior Leadership Corporate Project Oversight Committee (SLPOC), and Administrative and Records Management procedures. This position is responsible for support and control activities related to POS Capital and O&M projects throughout the project management lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include
- Responsible for the Project Management risk register and ongoing maintenance of Ameren's CPOC and SLPOC Procedures. Assists in the implementation of and training on project management and control procedures with an emphasis on project close out.
- Addresses development issues and updates to the Project Management Web Site by working directly with key stakeholders.
- Develops and supports the implementation of project management tools with emphasis on integration of schedule and project closeout.
- Acts as a liaison between project management staff and IT to ensure new processes and systems are implemented in accordance with POS business needs.
- Compiles and submits monthly and annual variance project documentation analyses.
- Gathers, analyzes and summarizes data for project leaders and senior managers as required.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for CPOC and SLPOC for communications and documentation in preparation for both CPOC and SLPOC Gate meetings.
- Administers, organizes, manages and maintains project SharePoint sites, files, and documentation to ensure compliance with Ameren's standards. Looks for Continuous Improvement opportunities to current scheduling and project close out processes and tools.
- Coordinates subcontractor documentation prior to submittal utilizing Ameren's records management programs.
- Reviews, evaluates, prioritizes and assigns project records to Document Control Specialist to ensure project records are properly archived, managed and retained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university required. Coursework in Project Management, preferred. Significant experience (5-7 years) in Project Management and Records Management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and SharePoint experience required. Experience in the analysis of project files and reports for business decision making. Familiarity with project management standards, methods, procedures, and classification of records. Strong communication, organization, and human relations skills required. Candidate should have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Must be detail-oriented while being able to envision the large picture and be able to work independently while working on multiple tasks. Must have excellent customer-service skills.
