Project Management Specialist

PURPOSE: 
Under general supervision this position is responsible for the integration for all new type vehicles at OEM. Primary responsibilities will be Committee Management, Topic Steering & Process Documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Committee management for project steering meeting and weekly ramp up meeting for both vehicle and battery plant.
• Organization of ramp-up committees such as AK Transition to Plant and TPL Plant Reko.
• Work with eLite for committee steering.
• Serves as a key contact between OEM and MO Project Management for new type planning
• vehicles and batteries in order to ensure proper communication and information exchange between the American and German institutions.
• Plan, check and act to implement interdisciplinary workshops and/or project meetings.
• Document the teams' processes in a defined format to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
• Work safely 100% of the time.
• Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A minimum of three (3) years' of relevant professional experience in the following area(s): Project Management Office processes and the respective standards. Project management experience managing meetings and steering topics for robust decision making.
• Ability to work in a team with high commitment and great flexibility.
• Enthusiasm about interdisciplinary thinking and teamwork.
• Business mind-set and ability to think strategically.
• Interpersonal skills and abilities to deal effectively at all levels within OEM and with corporate / external partners.
• Sound analytical and organizational skills, structured working approach.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of meeting management systems such as eLite.
• Working experience in project management offices and experience working with international teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
