Your Role
At Genworth, we are looking for an energetic, curious, innovative, and analytical Project Manager to join our Process Improvement Solutions Delivery team. If you have experience leading cross functional projects and a passion for challenging the status quo this is the role for you. The projects we lead span all line of business and directly impact Genworth's strategic imperatives, improve operational performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide project leadership by facilitating end to end project management pursuant to the PMI Body of Knowledge
- Maintain a comprehensive integration management plan that includes developing a project charter, activity schedule, business and system requirements, User Acceptance Testing, risk and issue register, and change management plan
- Seamlessly balance Agile and Traditional Project Management delivery methodologies - utilizing industry best practices, techniques, and standards to best achieve possible project outcome
- Prepare and maintain complete and accurate status reporting that promotes transparency, communication, quality and control, and early issue detection
- Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional projects led by other departments and functional units (e.g., IT, Human Sources, Finance, Audit or Operational Risk)
Must Have/What You Bring
- At least 3 years of experience leading projects in insurance or financial services industries
- Demonstrated experience using Project Management Office (PMO) tools and techniques to lead cross functional projects
- Demonstrated experience working in both Agile and Traditional PM environments
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and business problem solving skills
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with business partners/stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to develop/recommend creative solutions to business problems/challenges
- Results oriented, ability to meet and exceed objectives and handle multiple deadlines and priorities
