The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow we are seeking an Project Management Specialist II to work in our Manufacturing facility. The Project Management Specialist II leads strategic initiatives of each factory that have significant impact to the business by setting project goals and ensuring that the project is developed following Ortho's quality management process and program schedule. They will utilize standard project management tools to lead cross functional teams to deliver projects on time and on budget. This candidate will manage project budget, action items, decision log, prepare progress reports and schedule project team meetings. The Project Management Specialist will work closely with Senior Managers and other Project Managers.

This position is in Rochester, NY.

The Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans including resource plan, communication plan, and timeline of activities required for success with guidance from Project Managers.
• Runs meetings as required, with clear agendas, documents meeting outcomes and communicates tasks and timelines to internal and external team members.
• Proactively follows up with team members to ensure project deliverables and interim milestones are met.
• Creates progress presentations for senior leadership.
• Maintains monthly project budgets and submits appropriate financial paperwork.
• Creates a positive environment; instills sense of urgency and motivates the team.

The Individual

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Science or related field required; Certification in PMP is a plus.
• A minimum of 2 years relevant Project/Program Management experience required.
• Experience in a tightly regulated industry preferred.
• Microsoft Suite proficiency is required; advanced Microsoft Project and Excel preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a results-driven environment is essential.
• The successful candidate must possess strong business acumen, exhibit sound judgment, be detail-oriented and display resourcefulness when responding to challenges.
• Required Travel-10% domestic and international
