Project Management Sr Manager
Job Description
AECOM is seeking an industry leading Project Manager to join our SWIFT Program Management Team to manage the delivery of a $0.5 Billion managed aquifer recharge project in Newport News, Virginia. The qualified applicant will have experience in successfully delivering large water/wastewater/water reuse projects utilizing a collaborative project delivery platform and must be familiar with the design, construction and operation of water, wastewater and/or water reuse treatment and conveyance infrastructure. The position includes large project planning and design, schedule/budget management in an interesting and rewarding Program Management work environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to bring their extensive leadership skills from prior collaborative delivery projects to lead and communicate effectively with project team members across multiple organizations, have a high level of initiative and motivation to deliver quality results, have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to provide value-added solutions and maintain strong relationships.

Minimum Requirements
As an essential contributor to the Program Management team, you would possess the following:
- BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, and 10+ YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 10 years of experience reflecting the management and delivery of progressively complex infrastructure projects with capital values in excess of $(USD) 100 million.
- Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of both design-bid-build and collaborative delivery projects at water/wastewater treatment plants with capacities greater than 20 mgd.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and providing solutions and/or negotiating complex project related problems to maintain project momentum.
- Ideal candidate will relocate to the Hampton Roads area for the 5-year project duration.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- 20+ years of relevant experience, with 10 years of proven project management experience on complex infrastructure is strongly preferred.
- Proven record of leading and establishing a team culture of respect and partnership with stakeholders.
- Prior experience supporting a municipal owner as either Program Manager or Owner Advisor on complex infrastructure program.
- Ability to apply for and obtain DBIA certification within six (6) months of hire
- Experience delivering managed aquifer recharge and monitoring wells.
- Virginia licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire
- Advanced Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Management
- Certification as either Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) or training in project management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Expected to communicate regularly with stakeholders, in writing, one-on-one, and in meetings
- A positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding and diverse professionals.
- Experience in coordinating with Virginia regulatory agencies.
- Builds and maintains technical and leadership skills through training opportunities, external training, and involvement in professional society functions.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of Oracle P6 scheduling software.
- The ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented and inclusive Program Management Organization culture.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
