Job Description

The Scope 3 Project Manager will work closely with the Solutions Group business units to develop and execute project plans that support our sustainability goals. They will act as the primary contact for the development of the Scope 3 calculation tool and partner with the Solutions Group Scope 3 Manager to ensure accurate reporting and alignment with our environmental strategies. This position will require working with global teams and cross-functionally to coordinate, align and proactively implement environmental sustainability initiatives to execute Avery Dennison’s Scope 3 GHG emissions reduction strategy and to achieve the ambition of Science Based Target Initiative by 2030.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Solutions Group and Business Units to build comprehensive project plans that align with the company's Scope 3 emissions reduction targets.
• Monitor and track progress on all sustainability-related projects, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.
• Act as the primary contact for the development of the Scope 3 calculation tool, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure its accuracy and effectiveness.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of sustainability projects and their impact on the company's Scope 3 emissions.
• Collaborate with the sustainability team to develop and implement strategies that support the company's commitment to environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, sustainability, or business.
• Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• General familiarity with corporate sustainability is helpful but not required, a willingness to acquire new knowledge in sustainability reporting and greenhouse gas accounting is necessary to thrive in this role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
