Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Projects typically include large engineer-to-order mixing equipment which is designed and manufactured at the Dayton OH facility.
- Will be responsible for managing multiple projects at once.
- Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing, engineering deliverables, factory deliverables.
- Organize project teams and assign individual responsibilities, working directly with Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Operations.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and contract specifications. Formal review of technical documents are required to ensure that nothing is overlooked.
- Identify and resolve obstacles to complete project on time and to budget.
- Work with Purchasing on selection of vendors, management of vendor timelines, and acting as a liaison between the vendor and business.
- Work directly with customer contacts to provide order updates and facilitate answering any technical questions that could arise throughout the project.
- Coordinate, prepare, and manage customer inspections.
- Prepare presentations, completing customer submittal documents, customer surveys, and other administrative duties, may be required depending on the project.
- Other project related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing business, with an understanding of manufacturing processes in machining, welding, assembly, and mechanical design.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Project Management related field.
- Comfortable communicating with multiple levels of the organization from factory operator level through Vice President level. Confident and professional when communicating directly to customers, vendors, and employees.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel and Gannt Chart scheduling systems such as MS Project.
- Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Professional certifications such as PMP preferred
- Works well in a team environment where you have to influence project timelines without formal authority.
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking activities.
- Light travel less than 10% per year might be required, depending on the project complexity. Visits could include going to a supplier or to a customer.
- Position is onsite, located in Dayton OH. Some flexibility may be granted for partial work-from-home.
