Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to be based in Florida or California.

You will be joining of a global team of 500+ maritime specialists who support on a wide range of maritime developments including container terminals, LNG facilities, waterfront developments, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas and harbors as well as coastal schemes such as beach development and coastal protection schemes.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Manages one or more complex projects, involving a combination of the following:
  • Projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM
  • Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects.
  • Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations.
  • Good presentation and communication skills in English. Good report and proposal writing skills.
  • Client Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships. Ability to identify, understand and focus on clients' key requirements.
  • Commercial: Commercially aware, clear understanding of factors that affect risk and profitability.
  • Team leadership: good team leadership skills. Self-starter, energetic, pro-active.
  • Strong Team player.
Minimum Requirements
  • BS in Structural or Civil Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated experience
  • Design experience in port related infrastructure such as container terminals
  • Professional Engineer Registration
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Structural or Civil Engineering + 10 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in leading projects to required quality, timeliness, and budget parameters.
  • Previous experience in maintaining client relationships.
  • MS in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Experienced in planning, design, and construction management

  • Position will require some travel
