Job Summary

The Project Manager supports the development and deployment of quality products and solutions for both internal and external customers through the management of enterprise projects from initiation through implementation using Agile principles.

What You'll Do

• Negotiation of finalized project charters with project stakeholders, sponsors and teams.

• Ensures Agile practices and principles are used to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.

• Constantly strives to create high performing teams by recognizing areas of strength and needed improvement by routine review and learning with teams (constantly improving team performance).

• Works with internal and external stakeholders, project teams and Delivery Teams, through constant review of progress in order to influence and drive decision making to garner high customer satisfaction and project/product success.

• Resolves team impediments, working with team members, other project managers and scrum masters, and organizational leaders to increase the effectiveness of the project process withing the organization.

• Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Backlog Grooming, and Sprint Retrospective, when assigned a Delivery Team as a scrum master.

• Contributes to the evangelism, advancement and improvement of Agile practices throughout the entire organization.

• Manages a broad range of projects, such as regulatory, research-based, and system change initiatives while applying Agile principles where effective.

• Motivation of team members who are not direct reports.

• Communicate routinely with executive management and/or divisional leadership regarding the status of current project initiatives and obtain executive guidance and approval as required to advance initiatives.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in management, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience.

• 2 years of relevant experience, preferred.

• Agile Certified Practitioners (ACP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not required.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred, but not required.

• Experience developing solutions and performing work using agile principles.

• Knowledge and prior use of Azure DevOps kanban boards preferred, but not required.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Strong leadership, coaching and influencing skills across multiple and diverse groups and constituencies.

• Ability to think analytically and objectively, without regard to personal opinion or emotion.

• Ability to think at both a strategic and tactical level.

• Strong consultative, listening and interpersonal skills.

• Strong negotiation and mediation skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills
