Job Description
CGI is seeking a Project Manager with experience performing Application Development Requirements Gathering.
Will need to be analytical, organized and motivated to deliver accurate timely results and associated reports for the business.
Will assist the Delivery Managers responsible for operational support and work in a high paced and dynamic environment.
You will get plenty of exposure working with key members of our San Diego and Southern CA regional delivery business, sector VPs and other senior members of CGI leadership. Also, you will be actively encouraged to develop your skills and knowledge through both internal and external professional development to enable you to progress your career with us.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall success of a project, including time and resource management, financial planning, scope management, issue and risk management, and project execution.
You will plan, direct, and monitor the work produced by their team(s) to include planning and implementing appropriate quality assurance activities. You will be responsible for managing the client relationships, including general, ongoing communications, negotiation of scope and schedule changes, key risks, issue resolution, and ongoing progress reporting. You will shape client expectations, and manage contracts and scope related to the project.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You must have a broad knowledge of industry best practices, embodied in PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and be able to proactively identify potential project risks in order to advise and consult with clients on risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies.
He or she must have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant project management experience. The Project Manager may also participate in pre-sale/ Business Development activities, and is expected to look for opportunities for follow-on work.
Required to have the skills and experience to manage the entire lifecycle of software related projects, from inception through successful delivery and closeout
Must be proficient in applying industry standard techniques and tools to perform standard project management activities
• 3-6 years of relevant project management experience
• Solid project management skills related to project planning and control, scope management, issue and risk management, and quality management.
• Experience in managing software related projects using the software development lifecycle
• Experience negotiating contractual documents and maintaining changes to the terms and conditions of those documents.
• Consulting experience in customer-facing engagements. The candidate will be expected to lead project teams including customers, 3rd party vendors, and other stakeholders in a professional manner, exhibiting confident leadership and accountability. The candidate will effectively be representing CGI to the client.
• Demonstrated experience leading a project towards targeted financial goals
• Experience in requirements gathering, including the demonstrated ability to define and document system requirements and expectations from end users and other stakeholders, then convert those goals into actionable project tasks.
• Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Timely, decisive, and effective problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience with consulting at the senior management and executive level
• Behave in an ethical and professional manner
• Handle the pressures of simultaneous tasks, issues, problems, and some ambiguity
• Be flexible as to behavior or work methods in response to changes or new obstacles on a project
• Education: Bachelor's Degree desired
Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $75,000-$105,000*

Therefore, this good faith salary range will only apply where this described position will be performed in the state, and should not be considered the compensation range in other locations or for other positions.
