Job Title: Project Manager
Position Objective & Functions
The Project Manager is responsible to plan, manage, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of installation for foodservice equipment packages. This role is the primary bridge between the GC, sub-contractors, and our team on all construction projects.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Scheduled Hours: Monday-Friday / 8:00am-5:00pm
FLSA Status: Salary
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Review bid and contract documents to ensure contract requirements are being met
- Coordinate plumbing and electrical shop drawings from AutoCAD to submit for review and approval by Foodservice Consultant or Architect
- Review manufacturers' quotes and approve manufacturers' shop drawings to ensure compliance with design intent and to ensure installation deadlines are not missed
- Manage & oversee job installations including the coordination of equipment loads for timely arrival
- Collaborate with Project Coordinators ensuring timely communication on job progress and follow up
- Obtain field measurements as needed
- Attend job meetings as required
- Travel to job sites and provide supervision of installers as contract requires for duration of project (may require up to 50% travel)
- Ensure jobs are installed on-time and within budget
- Seek to increase gross profit on jobs whenever possible
- Address warranty issues in a professional and timely manner working closely with the Customer Solutions Team
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner that promotes positive relations with customers, vendors, and internal company personnel
- The ability to understand client needs, focusing on positive results
- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-Motivated - ability to work independently, take the lead on problem solving, planning tasks, and proactively managing project responsibilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible in schedule to enable the company to meet customer
- Basic working knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Strong relationship building skills with customers, general contractors, architects, manufacturers and vendors, and other trades on job sites
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft applications
- Experience with Auto Quotes is a plus
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant work experience
- OSHA 10-Hr Construction Safety & Health Certification is a plus (or required within 90-days of hire)
- Minimum of 2 years project management experience in the construction industry
- Ability to read blueprints and understand layouts/designs
- Foodservice industry experience is a plus
