The Project Manager provides professional project management services to successfully drive internal initiatives. Additionally, this role collaborates with business leaders to support change management efforts as projects become operational.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager will have the following key responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:
• Supporting the IT Leadership and other business leaders in developing and prioritizing the roadmap for internal initiatives
• Serving as the central point of contact to oversee all phases of the project, including project initiation, planning and execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing
• Developing, managing, and adjusting project plans based on scope, timeline, and cost implications
• Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders including preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
• Escalating key issues and risks and providing recommendations to facilitate decision making
• Assisting other departments to facilitate change management once projects become operational or are considered in maintenance mode, including evaluating and acting on issues or enhancement suggestions
• Following processes (e.g. prioritization, release cycles) and utilizing project management tools such as templates and software (e.g. Wrike, Smartsheet)
• May be responsible for business analysis tasks such as, but not limited to, eliciting and documenting requirements or coordinating testing if an analyst is not assigned to a specific project
• Mentoring others on project management practices and providing guidance to Nordic employees who are interested in pursuing project management training or certification
• Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years of project management experience involving multiple business units and IT required
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred
• Project Management Institute (PMI) membership, encouraged
• Track record of success driving waterfall and agile-based projects
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Aptitude to acclimate quickly to new project assignments and adapt to new working environments
• Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and SharePoint
• Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to adapt communication styles and strategies to the audience

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
• Position based in Madison, WI at Nordic's Home Office
• Occasional travel up to 5% of the time
• Position may require evening or weekend work to meet project deadline
