Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Passive Safety & Sensorics team. The ideal candidate has Automotive experience in Engineering or Customer Projects.

THE POSITION
• The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of project development. • Primary responsibilities, are the coordination of all application development and project management tasks, including resource planning, timing and project budgets. The project manager will be the primary point of contact with the customer technical team for the project. • The Project Manager will be responsible of leading a global cross-functional team of engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, finance and purchasing to develop the project to the planned timing within target budget and meeting customer expectations.

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Field• Minimum 5 years Automotive experience in Engineering or Customer project teams• Strong leadership and drive• Strong organizational skills• Highly motivated• High Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Excel programs • Minimum 3 year of experience in a customer interface position (resident engineering or key contact person in functional engineering area)• Experience with Customer Requirements Management• Intercultural experience or experience with international project teams• Manufacturing Electronics experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• GM Processes experience• Air bag Control Unit experience• Strong Written and Verbal communication skills• Basic German or Spanish language skills a plus
