Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Project Manager position will be the lead client point of contact on client projects and will interface with and work with internal teams to facilitate execution of project objectives and deliverables. This position will manage project timelines, communication flow and deliverables; monitor and report on projects; build client relationships; and help keep projects on track while working to address any issues that arise during the project life cycle.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

• Serve as main point of contact on client projects; prepare materials for and lead client project meetings
• Plan, organize, and manage QuartzBio projects in collaboration with QuartzBio technical teams and SMEs
• Work with key stakeholders to manage internal communication flow and client delivery schedules
• In conjunction with operational support teams, create and maintain project plans using QuartzBio Operations established systems
• Create and maintain action / issue logs, identify risks, and proactively manage completion of assigned tasks
• Develop, implement, and maintain dashboards and reports
• Assist in development of proposals, budgets, and contracts as needed
• Support reporting for resource and financial forecasts
• As needed, create and maintain project documentation, in collaboration with SMEs, including biomarker data management plans, specification documents, and data transfer agreements
• Review work product as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor’s in Biology, Information Technology or related field
• 3 years of general working experience with 1 year focused on project management or equivalent experience

Other Required:

• Experience with project management software such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Team player contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

Preferred:

• 3 years of combined project or data management experience in translational sciences, translational medicine, information technology, laboratory services, clinical trial services, software development, or related field
• Industry experience preferred
• Project management certification (PMI, PMP) desirable
• Experience with creating project plans and Gantt charts in at least one project management software tool
• Familiarization with terminology used in immunology, molecular biology or genetics
