Job Description

The Project Manager will utilize project management tools to coordinate, plan and oversee execution of prioritized organizational wide projects. The Project Manager must have the ability to organize various groups, disciplines, garnering support and cooperation in order to meet work plans in a timely and efficient manner. This role promotes improved understanding of the interdependence of clinical, administrative, operational and fiscal elements of FQHC operations, participating in and facilitating cross-functional work teams in driving quality and organizational improvements.

This individual must have experience in management of projects and quality improvement activities involving interdisciplinary teams and multiple locations.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with periodic Saturday hours.

Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is a non-profit community health center that is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of our community by providing accessible, high-quality care by integrating primary care, dental care, WIC support, mental health counseling, community health education, and more.

Compensation: $70,000 - $83,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers relevant information, creating a tracking system for the proper development of each project deliverables.
  • Develops standardized tracking system based on best practices to document status on projects, delegation of responsibilities, project requirements and timelines for completion.
  • Schedules the necessary contributors for meetings to ensure participation and promote forward momentum in the completion of the project(s).
  • Handles a variety of requests for information related to project completion including clarification on project goals and objectives; works to establish themself as "lead" for projects, with all necessary individuals and/or entities.
  • Maintains list of contacts identified for the completion of project. Creates and maintains good rapport with necessary stakeholders (internal and external) while serving as a representative for the interests of the organization.
  • Promotes the mission and vision of the agency throughout all project related interactions, communication and correspondence.
  • Reports any and all inefficiencies in the budgetary process and provides suggestions for project costs as needed.
  • Uses appropriate reporting systems to update project status and ultimately report project outcomes to associated stakeholders.
  • Provides written and oral updates on projects as directed, being sensitive to audience and venue, always handling information with the appropriate level of confidentiality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Meet or exceed the Service Excellence Standards of TVHC, Inc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent in experience and work background required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience managing multiple organizational-wide projects.
  • Knowledge in FQHC standards of practice, legal and ethical regulations applicable to FQHCs desirable.
  • CAPM or PMP certification highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in techniques, tools, theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Minimum three years' experience in health care or related service field highly preferred.
