Project Manager

GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks a remote Project Manager/IT Business Analyst to join our team. The candidate will support GAMA-1's growing Cloud Services practice. In particular, the successful candidate will help drive GAMA-1's efforts to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Cloud and National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) initiatives. These strategic cloud initiatives intend to increase the bureau's IT efficiency, improve IT delivery, and reduce costs. This position supports the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR) initiative.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading development reams within an agile framework. He/she will coordinate sprints, deliverables, and coordination for a team of cloud administrators and data scientists. Experience documenting and tracking tasks within Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Direct team’s agile rhythms, coordination with external teams, and calendar(s)

· Manage and ensure the delivery of meeting documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), status reports, and agile ceremony documentation.

· Direct the assemble and documentation of agile-related artifacts (i.e., from user studies, backlog management activities, etc.).

· Direct the development of cloud business best practices and processes.

· Train and lead team members on the proper use of Jira and Confluence as related to Satellite Applications and Research (STAR) taskings

· Support the gathering of requirements for delivering cloud migration planning and implementation services that span the systems life cycle, including development, testing, and through production

· Work directly with multiple teams and business units to understand business needs and translate those to IT/business capabilities

· Perform requirements gathering, create/modify business STAR initiative process workflows, and process improvements.

· Participate as part of UAT and development process (as needed)

· Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

· 6-8 years of Project Management or Business Analyst experience supporting a cloud and/or application development project

· Demonstrated hands-one experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools

· Working knowledge of Jira projects, workflows, issue types, permissions, and notifications

· Must possess experience developing documentation and SOP creation

· Strong verbal and communications skills, working with senior leadership and across organizational teams

· Ability to always create a positive Customer Experience and high customer satisfaction rate

· Working knowledge of AWS (helpful)

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms)

· Excellent communication and writing skills

Education and Experience:

· BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or other related disciplines OR 4+ years of experience supporting an

· Experience providing quality assurance support.

· Desired:

· Federal government experience

· 2+ years’ experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, BitBucket
