Your Role:
In this individual contributor role, the Project Manager is responsible for the site planning and implementation of Baxter's very sophisticated product line at medical and healthcare facilities throughout a dedicated region. Baxter's surgical portfolio of products within this position consists of surgical and examination lights, equipment management systems (booms), video integration, and overhead patient lifts. PMs serve as team leaders, mentoring and training PMs and participating in some tactical team management duties. Additionally, PMs have an active role in pre-sale support and enterprise account satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
- Attends coordination meetings as needed to ensure site readiness progresses appropriately.
- Defines site-specific installation requirements and interfaces with internal resources to determine production lead times.
- Schedules and outlines installation implementation plans, including coordinating with third-party contractors.
- Performs post-install quality reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and proactively identifies and resolves any issues.
- Supports outside sales with product specifications and technical support.
- Maintains pre-installation and rough-in information for third-party contractors.
- Provides strong proactive leadership in the execution of product implementation projects.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills to build consensus and influence others across multiple internal and customer organizations.
- Identifies, communicates, and resolves customer issues proactively, providing customer-focused solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Provides thought leadership on topics that add value and ROI related to project management, system implementations, and hospital/clinical best practices.
- Utilizes effective change management best practices in leading product implementation projects and communicates project status and action plans to stakeholders.
- Provide technical product and design support to the sales team, including participating in pre-sale activities and providing thoughtful customer insights.
- Act as the lead contact with customer accounts/representatives for issues, solutions, and long-term planning, and ensure enterprise-wide communication and execution of roles and responsibilities.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support team members with technical product issues, and offer technical support escalations as needed to alleviate workload from cross-functional teams.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires an understanding of construction and previous experience with medical equipment is a plus
- 7-10+ years' experience in project management
- Experience in multiple healthcare capital equipment products and projects preferred
- Demonstrated success with strategic planning and ability to synthesize broad information into concise actionable plans.
- Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to facilitate, manage, and motivate large, diverse groups without direct line authority.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including customer 'C' level management and Baxter senior management.
- Positive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work through complex issues, customer politics, and personalities.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $60,000 to $132,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
