Job Description

What will you do?

As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity to complete them on time, within budget and meeting quality standards. You will be expected to apply industry best practice methods in your work, produce PM-specific deliverables, interface with other teams within the organization, and front customer stakeholders and users.

This role reports to our Senior Project Manager and will be based in Brunei.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the development of projects, with subsequent handover to change management team.

  • Execute multiple projects of varying complexity concurrently and deliver them as per the agreed scope, time, and budget.

  • Develop, coach and mentor project teams and members.

  • Create and control project costing.

  • Enforce and maintain best practices methodologies, standards and processes to achieve project quality and team performance.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop project plans and prepare relevant tracking mechanisms. Ensure high client satisfaction and facilitate/lead effective communications.

  • Prepare project plans and maintain project schedules.

  • Track and report the progress of projects and ensure timely delivery of expected development work. Provide regular updates (stipulated by management) detailing all aspects of the progress of projects.

  • Ensure proper documentation and file management for projects.

  • Double up to fill in as a business analyst to capture requirements when required.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, clinical experts, data scientists, and other PMs.

Travel requirements

This role may require occasional travel to meet clients. Frequent travel of up to 30% may be required for candidates based outside of Brunei.

What skills do you need?Human Skills

  • Independent and able to work in a team setting, self-motivated, and thrives in an ambiguous environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with very strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in English are required. Chinese comprehension, communication and writing are considered a plus to work with internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making experience.

Technical skills

  • Successfully project managed and completed 2 full software development project lifecycles of a minimum of 6 months duration each.

  • Project managed software development teams of >= 5 members, past experience managing offshore project teams will be a plus.

  • Experience in the Healthtech, Healthcare, or Technology sector is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks to deliver solutions will be important.

  • Ability to perform duties as a scrum master will be a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or equivalent.

  • 2-3 years of experience in project management, with hands-on experience in project implementation of large-scale projects.

  • Project Management qualifications preferred (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
