Project Manager

Job Summary

The Project Manager will serve as a contributing member within Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapies division, focusing on the Fresenius Kabi Cell and Gene Therapy (C>) portfolio.
We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the development and launch of an innovative system for the C> industry. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a strategic mindset to ensure successful product development through market launch. The candidate will work closely with R&D, Commercial, and Regulatory as the primary project manager. This role demands strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a complex project that spans across multiple functional groups, and to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
*This position requires working onsite 3 days per week at our Lake Zurich U.S. headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Develop the detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategy for the new product development.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with the cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, business development, and regulatory teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables, go-to-market strategy, launch plans, and update the business case as needed.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among stakeholders throughout the project, including project meeting discussions and weekly status reports.
• Responsible for communicating project status to all levels of senior management on a regular basis to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Utilize technical and industry knowledge to understand project requirements and challenges.
• Develop and manage project budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial restraints.
• Provide medical information to internal/external health resources such as the sales force, outside health professions, public, and government.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required. PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in cell and gene therapies, biotechnology, medical devices, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a project management role, preferably in technical environment overseeing a product (device, lab equipment, or other instrumentation) development and launch.
• Minimum one year of management experience
• Ability and willingness to travel.
