We’re seeking a Project Manager to join our product team. This newly created position will report to the Associate Director, Project Management.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a new, cross-functional squad within the Product department. The squad will develop reporting and insight tools to empower students, help teachers and administrators, and simplify the identification of high-impact next steps to accelerate student learning. Your responsibilities will range from managing project timelines, partnering with Squad Leaders, facilitating team scrum ceremonies, collaborating with teammates, and more to ensure deliverables are met. Your contribution to the Product department will impact BrainPOPpers and learners each and every day by ensuring cross-functional teams can work together and deliver value to our users.
This role will have a weekly in-person component at our NYC HQ.
In this role, you will:
- Own the delivery and timeline for projects and deliverables from start to finish
- Track and report on project status and team KPIs
- Manage team resources efficiently and effectively
- Understand dependencies for the work your cross-functional team is responsible for
- Identify and mitigate risks to projects and team deliverables
- Implement and improve processes within your teams
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communications
- Monitor team health and foster relationships among colleagues
- Facilitate team operations and communications
- Collaborate with colleagues from all departments and disciplines to solve problems
- Reduce ambiguity and be the go-to teammate

On Your Resume
- 4+ years of digital project management experience with a proven track record of delivering projects on-time
- You have a firm grasp on the software development lifecycle
- You have managed cross functional team projects including or equivalent to: Product Discovery, Product Design, Front-end and Back-end Development, QA Testing, and post-release maintenance.
- You have collaborated directly with design and development teams to scope work
- You have implemented various Agile methodologies including Scrum
- Bonus: You have a Scrum Master certification or equivalent
- You have used or are familiar with Jira and Confluence, or other equivalent tools
- You have a toolkit of techniques at your disposal with the ability to apply them in unique situations
- Bonus: You have experience delivering reporting and insight tool projects
The BrainPOP team operates in a hybrid work environment: Each role has remote flexibility and an in-person component at our New York headquarters or other meeting locations. For this role, we are seeking a candidate who lives within commuting distance of the NYC office and resides in one of the following approved hiring states:
- Connecticut
- New Jersey
- New York
