Essential Responsibilities:

Lead a portfolio of projects related to the improvement of end-to-end processes within Commercial and Customer Operations (CCO) with a primary focus on the North America Region Recode initiative

Partner with Senior Leaders across the North America Region to understand their business needs and opportunities for improvement. Distillate this information into a pipeline of potential initiatives that can deliver tangible business impact (Increased Revenue, Decreased Costs)

Drive the change necessary to advance CCO from an organization that is focused on "operational excellence" to one that embraces "commercial excellence".

Continuously enhance the visibility into CCO processes thru the monitoring and analysis of KPI's to provide insights into best practices as well as opportunities for improvement.

Guides the successful completion of projects by effectively organizing, coaching and motivating a highly skilled cross functional team.

May perform other duties as required

The mission of the Commercial & Customer Operations (CCO) Center of Excellence (COE) is to serve as a trusted strategic partner that enables the US Region and business units to drive profitable commercial growth by delivering differentiated value, enabling capabilities, and simplified processes that exceed the needs of our collaborators and improve customer experience. CCO aims to be empower and develop our associates while strengthening our inclusive & diverse culture to win as 'One BD'.

The CCO organization operates across the entire US Region, partnering with the business units to provide and develop enabling capabilities in the areas of commercial contracting, sales enablement and operations, customer care operations, business & pricing analytics, master data management, commercial enablement, operational excellence, and other functions. We aim to strengthen our foundational capabilities and deliver customer value through simplification and improvement initiatives, develop and prepare our associates, build an inclusive culture, drive digital transformation, and expand our strategic capabilities while remaining agile to the evolving needs of our customers.

Accountabilities in this role:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Commercial Excellence, this position requires an expert Project Manager who will lead and manage a portfolio of programs, projects, and process improvement initiatives with a primary focus on the US Region Recode process.

This position will work across the E2E (End-to-End) teams to deliver key business transformation initiatives that will allow the CCO organization to deliver on its Key Driver Goals (KDG's). The primary focus for activities will be with the Contracting, Sales Enablement, Customer Care, and Data & Analytics teams.

  • Continuously enhance the transparency into CCO processes thru the monitoring and analysis of KPI's to provide insights into standard processes as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Guides the successful completion of projects by effectively organizing, mentoring and motivating a highly skilled cross functional team.

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works with minimal direction
  • Experience with written and verbal communications for both technical and non-technical audiences at the executive leadership level
  • Familiarity working with the BD Operating Model
  • Customer focused with excellent interpersonal and expectation management skills
  • Effectively organizes and communicates with cross functional teams
  • Facilitation experience at all levels of the organization with both large and small audiences
  • 5+ years delivering strategic project results effectively and efficiently
  • Proficient in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to make fact-based decisions, drive root cause analysis, and evaluate outcomes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics, providing metrics inputs to various reporting venues, and communicating key performance indicators to partners in support of business objectives
  • Organizational change experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint proficiency
