Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Project Manager at BestEx Research, you will have the exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to strategic projects aimed at enhancing our electronic trading platforms, systems, and processes. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and management of projects focused on improving our electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the execution of project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, under the guidance of the Chief Product Officer.
• Participate in identifying potential risks, issues, and roadblocks, and support the implementation of mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met effectively.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to analyze challenges and contribute to innovative solutions that drive project success.
• Facilitate effective communication and information sharing among project stakeholders, ensuring clear updates and expectations.
• Help monitor project progress, collect relevant data, and assist in preparing status reports for senior leadership.
• Contribute to change management efforts by assisting in user engagement, training, and smooth transitions to new trading platforms or processes.
• Learn and contribute to process improvements by collecting feedback, analyzing processes, and suggesting enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A passion for the financial industry, electronic trading, and project management.
• Some exposure to project management concepts through coursework, internships, or related experiences.
• Basic understanding of electronic trading platforms, algorithmic trading, market structure, or trading technologies is a plus.
• Experience or familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
