Job Location: Hershey, PA
This position is open for 100% remote.
Summary:
The Project Manager will drive execution of key deliverables a specific project for the IS Project Management Office (PMO), who has experience with both waterfall and agile methodology.
The primary function of this role is to lead operational and strategic projects for The Hershey Company. Have successful track in delivery project through:
- Building relationships/trust with project team members
- Understanding at a high-level, the solutions and benefits that a project is delivering in both functional and technical terms
- Defining and managing scope, resource, timeline, cost, issues/risks
- Managing through corporate policy (procurement, legal, capital, finance, audit)
- Bringing high level of confidence to deliver business value drivers as defined by PMO guiding principles
Responsibilities:
- Converts project scope to detailed project plans; provide conceptual framework for plan and define milestones; gathers information regarding effort, resources, budget, technical complexity and translates that information into project specifications.
- Ensure focus on change management including appropriate cascading of information.
- Communicates project expectations and progress to Project Team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion (team meetings, team meeting minutes, presentations, design reviews, stage gate meetings, emails, phone calls, face-to-face conversations, project documentation, etc.).
- Continually manages project expectations with the Project Team Members and other stakeholders; delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate Project Team members.
- Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the Project Team and generate solutions or request appropriate intervention.
- Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, project documentation and presentations. Escalates conflicts with the Project Sponsor.
- Manage the overall project budget, including weekly/monthly reconciliation, forecasting as well as resource management.
Qualifications:
- 8 years' of experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment.
- Very high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, or other Project Management tools
- Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving and interpersonal skills that facilitate effective interactions within cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to support interaction with various levels within The Hershey Company
- Composure under pressure. self-starter, and collaborative working style
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client interactions concurrently (project management and time management skills)
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to manage an integrated plan across other project components
- Ability to monitor critical path and dependencies
- Ability to collaborate with other project managers and program support to ensure program cohesion and work efficiencies
- Deeply experienced with the entire project lifecycle from idea generation through project closure. This also includes the development, monitoring and controlling of project schedules, budget/spend, resource plans, quality plans and communications, as well as standard project management practices
- This person is expected to work East Coast hours.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science or related discipline MBA desired.
- PMP certification
Experience:
- Experience with Clarity and Rally a plus
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods and/or retail industry
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously (medium-very large revenue-generating projects)
