As a Project Manager in HID's Secure Issuance Department

You will have the opportunity to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of firmware and electro-mechanical related projects for HID's Secure Issuance business area to ensure that goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third parties to deliver projects according to plan. A Project Manager will also define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout their lifecycle. This is a highly visible position and may involve periodic travel.

As our Project Manager, you'll support HID's success by:

• Managing cross-functional projects with other HID business areas and strategic partners to deliver truly exceptional end customer experience.
• Providing technical coordination and program management for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple engagements from definition phase through implementation for the Secure Issuance solutions.
• Developing best practices and tools for program execution and management.
• Formulating, directing, and coordinating activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget; may include coordination with marketing, sales, engineering, operations, and customer support (this would include contributing to the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables as well as contributing to the definition of specific tasks and resource requirements)
• Coordinating the approval aspects of a project throughout its lifecycle including management reports and reviews using approved corporate tools, processes and policies as defined in HID's Product Innovation Process (PIP).

What we will love about your background:

• Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Assess, mitigate, manage, and report on project decisions and risks.
• Firmware or other electro-mechanical development experience preferred.
• Project Management Professional certification or additional training preferred.
• SAFe certification (RTE or SPC preferred) and thorough knowledge of Scrum and or other agile development / project management methodologies.
• Proficient within the Microsoft Windows operating system.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Familiar with project management tools (Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Oracle Agile PLM, etc.).
• Familiar with collaboration applications (Microsoft Teams, Miro boards, Atlassian JIRA & Confluence).
• Critical thinking and problem solving

Your Experience and Education include:

• Bachelor's degree (engineering related preferred) from four-year college or university or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Supervisory experience is a plus!
• 2+ years' experience in project management or leading engineering development teams.
